How do you change a rtf into a word doc that will download onto a job agency site?

I have windows vista with windows task manager - even tho I typed my cv onto the word processor as a word doc it wont download onto the sites i want to send it to - any ideas out there u tech wizards

Open the RTF in Microsoft Word. Then use SAVE AS, give it a name and select the document type as a .doc in the drop down menu just below the document name

Just save it as a .doc.

Also check the requirements on the job site - they may have restrictions about what types of documents you can upload.
