I live near Burlington in Burlington County New Jersey. My car's passenger side window was smashed and I was advised to go to a dump but I don't know where to find one, how much it will cost, and if there will be an installation fee. Please help!

You can find a nearby salvage yard here, just follow the directions and enter your information.

They may know someone who can install it for you,but that's something that is normally done at a body shop or auto glass shop.

Look up Automobile Wrecking yards, not the dump. Old cars and cars "totalled' by insurance are sold to these places to sell the good parts. Call them and tell them te model and year of your car and ask if they have a window and the price.

Most of these places expect you to bring tools to take out the part from the old car. Some will pull thepart for you for a fee. You then take the part to a mechanic (or friend with know how) and have the part installed.

you might try

craigslist.org

in your area, under auto parts listing, or post a wanted ad on that site. A lot of junk yards and mechanics list and watch there.

Always ask questions to whoever you deal with and compare prices. Then go with the one you feel most comfortable with

windows can have a wide price range, depending on model and availability

Good Luck!
