Hang out on Coventry, or Treamont. Check out the West Side Market. Take a Trolley ride around town, or a boat ride on the river. If you're old enough go hang out in the flats or in the Warehouse district. Check out the museums in University Circle, or even the ones down town like the Rock Hall or catch a movie at the Science Center. Explore little Italy. If you're gonna be here in August, then Little Italy has a feast in the middle of August, Coventry is having their street fair on August 9th. Pick up a copy of Free Times or Scene mags. on just about any corner in Cleveland, they have a listing of what is going on the Cleveland area. Good luck & have fun!

University Circle is one of my favorite spots. It's a big, open area with parks, museums, fountains and a botanical gardens. If it doesn't rain, it's a great place to just spent some time outside. You could also just hang out in the Coventry area, which is where the Grog Shop is anyway. There are lots of shops, bars and cafes. It's probably too early to swim, but there's Edgewater Park just west of Downtown off of the Shoreway (Route 2). If you're of-age, you could get down to Ohio City and drink at Great Lakes Brewing. One of the breweries in the country... seriously! Westside Market (awesome place) is across the street from it. Then there's Tremont. It's a really cool neighborhood with shops and cafes south of Downtown. It's a bit hard to find though because of the mess of freeways, but if you get on I-490 westbound, there's an exit for W 7th St that will get you there. Then there's Cuyahoga Valley and the Rocky River Reserve. They're kind of far from Coventry, but it's a really pretty area. Tons of other stuff to do in Cleveland. Just watch out for that east side and don't let the stereotypes fool you too much. And a tip on parking in Coventry: follow Coventry south of Euclid Heights (the corner that the Grog Shop is on), take the first left, then the left after that onto the divided street and park at the end in front of the park. You can walk like 30' right through the park back to the Grog Shop. It may fill up as the night goes on. You'll otherwise be stuck with confusing pay parking.
