I feel that Biggio is a definite lock, but what about Bagwell.

As an outsider, I would have to say YES!!!

Bagwell and Biggio have defined the Astros for the past 15 + years.

Bagwell is a HR king, even while playing in a pitcher friendly park.

I hope the writers voting don't count against them due to playing in Houston...both of these players are clear HOF players for any team in baseball and the glory teams like the Red Sox, Cubs, Yankees, Dodgers etc...could have only imagined having these two guys as a part of their rich history!!!!

Not really sure about Bagwell he has had some real solid years, but his career figures really don't stack up. Also, most offensive stats from this era are being really devalued, and he didn't even hit the milestones there. No 500 homers or 3,000 hits for Bagwell, but his career numbers are comparable to Tony Perez who did get but had a hard time getting in the HOF. Bagwell also has a MVP and rookie of the year on his resume but I do not think is enough.
Biggio, I think will be in the hall, but maybe not on the first ballot again many people are devaluing offensive stats and Biggio has no MVP like Bagwell does. He does have the all important 3,000 hits though.

biggio maybe. Bagwell no. both were good players but never great. Biggio just got numbers by playing for too many years.

Craig Biggio is defnelty going to Copperstown. And Biggio has shown it to everybody that he can be sucsessful and powerful. While Bagwell, ehh.. tough one. He was a fan favorite and he was a good player, so a maybe on that one.

I feel as if Craig Biggio solidified his spot in the Hall of Fame by getting 3,000 hits.

I think Jeff Bagwell is worthy, but will take him longer to get in.

Biggio will get in to the hall. 3,000 hits is an automatic ticket into the hall of fame. As for Bagwell, maybe... but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Well, Biggio is a first-ballot hall of famer without question. I think Bagwell may get in also. But he's not a first-ballot hall of famer.

Both will not make it. Neither one was ever dominant, neither one has won a championship, and neither one ever had that special something. In Biggio's case, 3,000 hits is great but that just makes him eligible for HOF consideration. Other than his 3,000 hits, he hasn't done enough other than get plunked a lot. Bagwell IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE HALL!
