COLLEGE GRADUATE LOOKING TO MOVE IS IT A GOOD AREA FOR WORK AND LIVING SINGLE?

No.

Okay, I'm biased, I spent 10 years in Indianapolis and Cleveland, and neither of those cities (the latter in particular) seem to be really fond of Cincy.

In all actuality, I have heard the place is not that bad. From my occasional visits there, the area seems to be in a very beautiful natural setting, amongst forested hills (though the city itself, I'm not so sure about). There is also a reasonable amount of stuff to do, and many good museums. Downtown is nice and overlooks the Ohio River.

Cincinnati is considered overpriced in the housing market (weak local economy and high home prices for the region). Cheaper housing is available in Cincy's Kentucky suburbs.

That said, I would recommend you also check out the nearby cities of Columbus [Ohio] and Indianapolis, both about 100 miles away. Both of them are new cities with much fewer dilapidated areas than say, Cincy and Cleveland.

They both have enough entertainment -- Columbus has nightlife based around Ohio State U., and also has lots of museums. Indianapolis also has a lot of nightlife and museums, largely due to the presence of several mid-size universities in the city.

Indianapolis is also known around the nation for being very racially tolerant (in many eyes, Cincy has the opposite reputation). Of course, don't expect racial tolerance once you're outside metro Indianapolis.

Well, there's my advice, sorry about adding other irrelevant cities to the mix, but I hope it helps.

Clifton is a good place for singles. Mt. Adams, Mt. Lookout, Hyde Park. Depends on what atmosphere you are interested in. You might want to stay away from places like OTR, Avondale, Bond Hill and Norwood. Those are some higher crime areas. I live in Bridgetown which is a nice quiet neighborhood great for family's with an awesome school district and close to everything you want to eat. Blue Ash, West Chester and Fairfield are great places to if you want to be close to work. Depending on what your profession. Good luck on your move to the great city of Cincinnati.

Great family town. Can't vouch for the single life as I was already married when I got here. Depends on what you like.

You have the Reds, Bengals, UC and XU for sports.

You have bar districts in Mt. Adams and across the river in Newport.

You have good musems and a great theater venue.

Great outdoor music venue in Riverbend plus large and small indoor venus.

Best Labor day fireworks in North America.

Plenty of Softball, Soccer and other adult sports leagues.

Again all depends on what you are interested in.

I stay in a suburb yet i pass downtown now and lower back. i assume it has the drawbacks like another city might, creeps strolling on the streets, crime, and so on. i like going downtown, it somewhat is an particularly cool city to me, there is often stuff to do and there's a on line casino being geared up (uncertain if it somewhat is sweet or no longer). in the adventure that your interior the apartments i'm questioning of, you have a super time residing in Cincy.

I have heard it is difficult to meet people here. As for work, it depends on what your speciality is.
