Is it true that if you have regular periods you stop growing?

Question

Last month I had my period and this month I had my period.Usually I don`t get regular periods.EXCEPT THIS TIME!&My mom said that I will stop growing once you have regular periods.Is this true?!Cause I`m tall and when I heard this I was really glad!;) I don`t wanna grow no more!Soo,I wanna know if this is true?!

Cause I`m really tall.&I think thats y she said it.

wow I didn`t know that girls stop growing bet the ages of 18-21,like what the other girl said.I`m 5"11 and I,ve been that height for 4 years?? or more.I`m 22 so you shouldn`t worry.How tall are you? periods don`t stop your growth sorry.You can take a measuring tape to measure yourself in cm then you can check your height in feet/inches on this site.You can check your height from time to time but be careful not to be obsessive.I didn`t like my height before to but once I got older I love it more because I receive complements from people.People who made fun of me probably wish they were tall like me now:)

NO! Where did she ever hear that nonsense? It is NOT true. If that were the case we would have some really short women in this world and I would have been one of them. I started at 12 and was about 5'1" then and I am now 5'9".

By the way, it is a proven scientific fact that people can and will grow until they are 28 years old. The bones basically shut down their growing then. I'm not saying you are going to have this huge growth from now until you are 28, however, you could grow even a centimeter spread out over the course of 5 years until you are 28. There is nothing you can do about it. Enjoy being tall. It's a sexy thing for a woman to be tall!

Height increases till long bones fuse. In any long bone, There are following parts, Epiphysis & Metaphysis on both sides & Diaphysis is the middle portion. When these fuse linear growth can't occur. In females usually this fusion occurs at age between 17-19 years & in males till the age of 21 years. You can check out whether you may grow vertically or not by doing Simple Radiological evaluation, If you want!

No, it's not true. A woman can grow until she is about 21 years old, and most girls already have regular periods by then. I'm 19 and my breasts are still getting larger. I've had regular periods since I was 14.

no thast entire bull. 've study that many sites say a ladies stops growing to be 4 years after her era, yet thats no longer genuine for each individual the two. one woman would get her era at 10, then improve till shes 18. yet another won't get her era till shes 15, and in basic terms improve for yet another 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, or for 4 greater years. each physique is diverse.

i think it depends on each individual.
i also think people misinterpreted your question.
if you've had them for awhile, and they only start to get regular, then generally, i think, you won't have the sudden growth spurts anymore. thats what happened to me.
but you'll still keep growing. maybe have little growth spurts. maybe not taller but the other way...yaknow...

no, I started mine whan I was 10 and I kept growing until I was about 16 (at least in height)

well maybe you wont grow TALL that much but you would be still developing (like "curves" and so on)
