It's easier to be a liberal but you know I have always flowed against the flow of the world. I'm just a little fishy swimming up stream.

I think since the Depression it has been harder to be a conservative. After all there are so many problems to address and things that people want to see done. Conservatives have mostly been out of step with the progression of the country. But in the last few years the pendulum has swung their way a bit. I think it is still just a bit easier being left of center but it's not like the good old days.

Liberalism is the easy way out....they have hollywood that glorifies it...they have the news media that portrays everyone who is conservative in a negative light...they have the universities and professors who are just washed out hippies from the 60s for the most part...they puff themselves up and proclaim themselves tolerant, inclusive, unbiased, informed, while acting just the opposite....they are never exposed as the hypocrites that they are by news sources...as a matter of fact the news sources glorifies them and at the same time belittle the conservative.....they rely on government for their livelihood instead of themselves and their hard work...man, I could go on and on.....
A conservative believes there is a right and there is a wrong....there is very little if any gray area...we don't wait for polls to see how everyone else feels about a subject, we use our core values and convictions to determine that and at times have to stand against what the majority of people around you believe which makes being a conservative at times not the easiest way to go like liberalism, but its the RIGHT way to go........

As a Conservative, I think it is easiest just being me. But I think I know what you are asking.
It looks to us Conservatives like Liberals are fighting for the right to make others take responsibility for their choices.
I have made tons of mistakes in my personal life. But I figure it is my job to handle it. If my church or family or friends want to help, fine.
But when the government is all up in my personal business? Not fine.

The dumbest thing a person can do it to chose to be liberal or conservative.
Things changes and if you don't change how you view certain things just because you want to be conservative or liberal then those people are morons.

I am enjoying being liberal right now, although it is kind of for a sadistic reason. After watching Bush screw up for 6 years, it's nice to see a congress that's not his rubber stamp. I am very much enjoying watching Bush struggle politically as a lame duck and watching his corrupt administration crumble ever so much more each day. It's about time I was happy about the government again. (Hopefully I'll be even MORE happy in '08!)

Conservative. I CAN and will so no to certain things and issues. If you're stuck with the liberals, you'll compromise every value and moral that you have.

I think it is easy to be whatever you want. I am a liberal and my whole family is conservative, but we all get along fine. The majority of people don't take politics nearly as seriously as most of us do. It is the extremists of either party that get people outraged.
