I DO!! My grandfather taught it to me. It tastes good, it like accents the flavor and brings it out more. I just ate some cantalope with salt about an hour ago. :)

I've known people to put salt on their watermelon, and I have tried it, but didn't like it so I eat mine plain.

I used to put it on my watermelon but not anymore. I hate cantalope so can't help you there.
