They have a high-caliber offense and an above average pitching staff. By all accounts they should be in the race. Instead, they are in a tier just above the Pittsburgh Pirates and playing like a team that lacks buzz. Why?

The Blue Jays really have a high-caliber offense in name only. Rios is having a break-out year but everyone else is having their problems. No on on the team is hitting .300 and Wells is at .255 and Thomas .247. The team as a whole is only hitting .257. After Roy Halliday they really don't have much pitching, especially with Burnett on the shelf most of the year. Their team pitching ERA is high at 4.32. They are a team that should be doing better and have the capability to do better but if you look closely they are not playing very well at this time.

They do not have an above average pitching staff, or a high calibur offense. They have to find some not injured pitchers, and better hitting besides vernon wells.

First ... The Blue Jays are a baseball team. you have published this question in the Canadian soccer classification. in spite of the venue of the place the pastime is performed, and it truly is appropriate to all activities, if a Canadian team is in contact, the two the yank and Canadian national anthems are performed. If the two communities are from Canada, in basic terms O Canada is performed. Likewise, if the two communities are American based, in basic terms the celeb Spangled Banner is performed. many times, gamers do no longer salute for the duration of the anthems. they're going to easily stand at interest. I dont think of there is something to "take care of" whilst an American-born participant signs and indications to play for a team in Canada. They understand (or could anticipate) that it comes with the territory of having the Canadian anthem performed. Getting paid hundreds of thousands of greenbacks a 365 days, i can not think of of one who complained that he had to hearken to a various country's anthem ... i can not have faith I in basic terms spoke back this dumb question... oh nicely, 2 factors for me

I'd say the absence of A.J. Burnett and B.J. Ryan are two huge reasons why they aren't living up to expectations.
