I Have Bellsouth DSL Internet & it Works Fine On My Desk Top Computer. I Bought A Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router To Get Internet On My Laptop. It Wont Even Get Through The Installation Process. There Is A Different Problem Everytime. Is This The Correct Kind Of Router? WHat Should I Do?

Linksys routers work fine with Bellsouth DSL. The thing you need to watch out for is if the DSL Modem they provided you with as routing functionality built in. I've seen some recent BS DSL installs with TrendNet routers. If this is the case and your linksys is a Router/WAP combo unit you can run into some issues. You either need to turn off the routing functions in the Linksys and use it only as a wireless access point, or buy just a wireless access point with no routing functionality. The problem arises when DHCP is divied out and one router tries to overide the other router. Check with BellSouth and find out what your DSL modem is doing. They should also be able to help you with the Linksys connection. Hope this helps.
