Yes, we were camping and I out hiking and there was this bear just siting there! I was trying to get closer to get a picture my husband would not let me! I know I was crazy for trying but I thought it would be a great picture! I live in Arkansas and you can see all kinds of wild animals!

Yep, went camping last year and it sucked balls. First the camp rangers gave us a $75.00 fine for having a beer (literally like the first one), then they harassed us about using a plastic lighter fluid bottle for our fire (though their camp store sold him) and said that we should be putting the fluid on a paper plate and then putting it into the fire (yeah that makes sense...lol), on top of that it rained on and off pretty bad for the whole trip and on the last day while we were waiting under the tarp getting ready to eat some food and for the rain to stop so we could take down our tents, we look over and there is a bear at the next site (which was really close). We just hopped in our car went to the camp store informed them and they drove through the campsites and shot some blanks or something to make enough noise to scare the bear off. Not really a biggie but it was interesting to see a bear not locked behind a cage...

Although after the whole ordeal that I dealt with at that place, I will never ever camp in PA again.

Yes, I lived in Alaska for 8 years, and I had a friend that lived in a certain part of town that was known for having bears roam around.
The two of us were playing in the little community playground, swinging on the swings when we heard something coming up the hill behind us. I looked and it was a black bear! We freaked out and ran inside the house and told her mom of what we'd seen and the 3 of us watched it from the window and it went back to wherever it had come from.

It was an experience....

I saw one walking along the side of a road in St. Louis. We'd been to the zoo and I got all excited thinking it was an escapee from the zoo...

Yes. My travels thru Alaska and Canada have given me many opportunities to see bear.

A good clue to how big the bear is, look at his ears.
The smaller the ears look on the head, the bigger the bear!

Saw a giant grizzly on the roadside by Destruction Bay.

I have seen many live black bears in the Smokey Mts. and also have seen them at the zoo.

Yes. I've seen a baby and her cubs in Yellowstone, and I've also seen a bear near the area where the boy was killed a few weeks ago (in Utah).

Never and I don't look forward to see one outside a zoo because that would be too scary.
