They're both made out of card stock. Just want to make sure there's no lumps or seep-through on the back. Double-sided tape, perhaps? I know Elmer's doesn't cut it!

Double sided tape. The thin kind would work well.
You can often just lay the top layer down, check if it is in the right place and adjust or pick it up. Once you press down on it, it sticks.
There are several kinds on the market, and as I live in a different part of the world from you I can not tell you which brand is best, but I would ask for a permanent kind, not a kind you can take off again.

I would see if you can get a wax sealer. If not a larger sticker, something that matches your invites. Target & Walmart have these in their wedding sections. Double sided tape would work too.

Use a hot glue gun..Dont need much just enough to hold it like at the corners

Hot glue if you want a very permanent adhesion. Try a dab of rubber cement if you want the possibility of removing it, later.
