Shipping snakes????

Question

im selling a bal python on kingsnake.com and i want to know what to do if someone gives me an offer. like, how am i suppose to ship a snake, where do i go. im not experienced with this at all.

There is a forum on kingsnake that is just about shipping reptiles, try your question there.
I would not use a heat pack in the summer. They can make an enclosed box extremely hot. The chemical process they use to produce heat also consumes oxygen. I have had the unpleasant experience of opening a stryrofoam box that is over 100 F inside and full of dead snakes. Not fun.
Make sure you don't feed your snake for at least a week before you ship.

u can buy special heat packs that give off heat for 24, 48 or 72 hours and u put them in a padded box tape the heater to the bottom the padding to the sides of the box and make it a comfy box a snake 1-3ft can comfortable fit in a 1.5 x 1.5 ft box punch holes in the side *pencil* not to many a study box too!! and take it to the post office and have a sticker that say's "caustion live reptile" :Ball python" or u can even ask some one else on kingnake.com how to and what to do.

Fed Ex is the only company that will ship live snakes legally. You will need to get certified with them first and it's usually best to do that before you decide to advertise to ship. Call Fed Ex and find out who your rep is and then get the paperwork started. You will need to send a test package to their facility etc.

package it in Styrofoam box with a 40 hour heat pack. and ship it with a company that does overnight shipping with guaranteed deliver by 10am the next day.

Weren't you just on here asking how to convince your parents to let you get a new snake? I feel bad for your poor snakes, you'll probably kill the BP if you ship it, although then it'll probably be better off than the corn you're keeping.
