Like last season when he went 6-7 with an ERA higher than 6.

I'm asking this because he was pretty bad last night. He did have a blister on his hand, though.

It all depends on his health. When he is healthy he is very good but when he has to pitch through nagging injuries he is hittable. He is a solid pitcher capable of putting together a second half comparable to his first half numbers.

Remember to that he slimmed down a lot for this season. Being in better physical shape might delay his spiral, but Penny is infamous for not finishing strong. I haven't seen a 2nd half meltdown like his since Mark Mulder. But since he's in better shape on a good team, I'd tend to believe that he'll have a winning record in the 2nd half.

He was bad last night,I think he's learned how to mix it up this year. Last year after he was lighting up the radar guns in the All Star game,he came out in the second half trying to throw all fastballs & he was lit up. I believe he learned from his mental mistake & will pitch well down the stretch.

no, penny was just careless with those few pitches last night he is going to dominate the NL all-star game and take the dodgers to the playoffs (i dont think they will make it to the world series)
