Believe it or not Lady I go out the the farm. I was missing my princess so much one day I decided to go fishing. Went out to a friends farm pond. Couldn't keep my mind on fishing tho. Ended up just sitting there warching the fish and thinking about my Princess. In a bit some cows came to the pond to drink and eat the clover. One old cow nudged me out of the way of a patch of clover. So I moved. She was gentle enough so I began to talk to her about my Princess. Made me feel a lot better even tho I still missed Princess like crazy. When I letf the pond that day, old Bossy (what I call her) stopped eating and looked at me as if to say "good luck". I go back now once in a while just to talk to her. I take a couple of carrots and we sit and talk about my Princess. Old bossy is a good listener. And it may be strange but I'm beginning to believe she understands how lonely I am. This is a true story. And a darn good way to beat the blues. Or at least push them back a bit.

Stimulate your intellect as well as soothe your emotions. Boredom, depression and loneliness are all signals you're stuck in a rut and need to do some spiritual healing, cleansing. Relax. Think of the good things in your life and the good things about yourself. Read a good book, put a bad one down in favor for one that speaks to you. Watch a movie you really want to see. Join a new club. Meet new friends. Take a trip somewhere when you can. Look into what's disappointing you and make changes. Grow as a person. Good luck. Been there. Done That. We all go through this. And yes music is great!!!!!!!!!!

I am very lonely at the moment and I am listening to Country music loud cause it fits my mood. I'd go for a walk but I can't be bothered. I'd call my man but he is working and I don't wanna talk to friends on the phone cause they annoy me anyway. Sometimes I write poems and it helps, I've done that for years. Have a nice day!

When I get the blues, I usually just watch some movies, until I decide that I've had enough and need to bring myself out of my funk. I get up and take a shower and listen to some music. I might get online or call some friends and see what they're doing. Get up and move!

I usually do one of three things first I find someone whom I can give service too because usually when you have the blues your pretty much thinking about yourself and if you can do something where you focus your attention on someone else you forget how sad you are, secondly I write a poem for either my friends or my family and read it to them and from that I usually get great feedback, and third I draw a picture for my nieces and nephews and send it to them cause kids kind of have this wonderful innocence that warms the heart and melts away the blues.

I go for long walks along the Oregon shore at either Newport or Lincoln City. Nothing helps me more than being there. I usually work out my problems and get my attitude readjusted in three or four hours. It is truly the most calming place for me on this earth! Have a great weekend! Annie

I'm alone right now...but not really feeling lonely. When I'm lonely I put on music that makes me feel happy and feel like dancing or if I'm really down I might just want to wallow in self-pity for a moment so I put on these really sad, slow moody songs...or even Linkin Park...(screaming along with Chester helps). I write in my journal...try and talk with my best friends or just have a quite day and watch some TV.

Me and lonely are best friends
that way neither of us are ever truly alone !!
Peculiar to say -- but I have dozens of people around me a great deal of the time-- and, am intricately involved WITH these people on a career and philanthropic basis -- but the only VERY close relationships I have is with people who are VERY far removed from here !!
And, I NEVER "bet" the blues -- they would ALWAYS win !!
And, I never try to BEAT the blues either -- have found that it is much better to embrace them -- "become one with the force, Luke "

On the few occasions that I get the blues, I let them beat me. I wallow a bit in it, then move on.

I'm generally not ecstatic nor depressed, just banal.
Once in a 'blue moon' (how apt, huh?) I'll be in a downbeat too long, then I'll get out for a walk and crank the music up loud.

Peace

Usually I'll sit down at my piano or Hammond organ and play music. Sometimes Gospel and sometimes blues. If not that I grab my ole guitar and play a lot of old time blues.
