A person was asking to choose between three gaming systems. I answered with my choice of the three. No comments added. This morning I get an e-mail from Yahoo stating my answer was deleted because of abuse. I e-mailed Customer Care with my inquiry as to why, but have not heard back.
SO....has any else ever experienced anything like this and did CC ever tell you why your answer was abusive? And, why was my answer abusive?
Serious answers ONLY, and Thanx!

I just received an e-mail from CC returning my points and apologizing for the mistake! Thanx everyone!

If someone reports a posting as abuse, it usually gets deleted by an automated system- there is no human actually checking the content or doing an decision-making in the process.

Some people have protested answer & question deletion sucessfully, but it's just a hassle...

It does happen for no apparent reason sometimes. Part of the problem is immature people who will randomly flag answers they do not agree with. However, seeing as the button to flag for abuse is right next to the thumbs-down button perhaps some people click on the flag by accident. Either way I believe you can contact Customer Care and get them to reinstate your points if you can prove your answer was not abusive. It's worth a try.

Yes, this does happen occasionally. It's usually immature kids trying to be funny.
