My goldfish have redblood spots w/ white pimples. Whats wrong?

They are just sitting at the bottom of the tank. I know the white pimples are ich and Ive treated the water with the medicine but why do they still have red blood spots and still at the bottom of the tank?? Please help. I love my poor fishies:(

the white spots dissappeared today. And they are about 3in long from head to fin. and about an inch and a half wide.

oh and the red spots are on the body and on the fins only they look like red streaks.

Actually the white pimples may or may not be ich since you are also seeing red spots. The location of the white spots and blood red spots are very important to the diagnosis of the problem. Size is also important . Please add that informaiton to your question ( use the little pencil at the bottom to add additional information) and I'll check back shortly and add to my answer.

ADDITION: That sounds like a blood borne infection. It could be any one of many, but you treat them all the same. First, feed the fish medicated fish food. It's available at most all pet stores but be sure to get the type for bacterial infections, Not the parasite medicated food.

Also treat the water with an antibiotic. Furanace or Furan 2 would be my first choices for this problem, but Maracyn TC (tatracycline will work if you can't get the others.

Watch carefully for the return of the white spots. If they are a parasite (like ich) they could come back anytime in the next week.

The red spots are internal bleeding and sores... there's nothing you can really do for your fish... sounds like its gotten too bad

just get medi from aquarium.
my fish also had the same problem before. now cured.
