I caught a glimpse of the baby a short time ago and was shocked to see what an ugly baby she was (sorry to her mom) - of all the hundreds of babies that could have been chosen, I was shocked that a cute baby wasn't choosen!

I would not walk up to someone and tell them their baby is ugly - when you are on public airwaves, a person is entitled to an opinion. Some of ya need to chill! No offense to any of you! (my kids are gorgeous - people stop me on the street to tell me that!)

Oh my gosh I was looking at that baby today when Phyllis was trying to get the baby to say DA_DA and I was really trippen over how ugly that baby.is...apparently in real life the baby belongs to someone that is in the set and they want the baby near them.. Its gawd-awful ugly!!! well remember the old saying if you are ugly when you are little your beautiful when you grow up...Thank god the baby has that to fall on..LOL

I just don't think that she has came into her beauty yet! I understand what you are saying tho. With it being a TV show, a soap where Phyllis is the mother and Jack or Nick are suppose to be the father you would think they would get a cute child to play that role.
There are some ugly babies out there and I wouldn't want to say that she is ugly, but she is NOT the child I would have picked to play their child!

I though Summer was gorgeous when she was first "born", cuter than Fen Baldwin actually. Now I think Fen is the cuter baby. Most of the time though it is the gorgeous babies who become not so cute older babies/toddlers who turn out to be the most beautiful children. We'll have to wait and see.

You know how all the soap kids play a young age but are really so much older?! Summer is probably almost a year old old trying to play a young baby-that makes her less cuddly-cutesy!

well first,do u really think they just picked a baby!! if it went like that she would be a perfect picturem{ she is cute and will grow up to be beautiful] you must realize it is who u know to get on a lot of the soaps. It probably is some one.s bably on the show. who knows. Time will tell....

I think Summer Newman is a cutie... and a good job was done in casting her to be Phyllis' daughter - the baby looks like she could belong to Michelle Stafford in real life!

She's not an ugly baby, she does however look a little sickly, like she may have an allergy or a cold.
Its probably not easy for a baby to be under those hot lights and they film the soap so early in the morning, maybe Summer is still sleepy?
No baby is ever ugly.

Im sorry i really usually think that babies are so cute...but Summer isn't very cute to me...but thats just my opinion...she may grew up to be a supermodel, but as far as a baby she isn't all that cute.

i wouldn't say the baby is ugly but she isn't as cute or pretty as they make her to be. she'll probably grow into a really beautiful person when she grows up.
