E. None of the above. The progressive era, was to reveal and fix the problem that came up from the industrial boom. Problems such as child labor, exploitation of workers, corruption on the corporations side, appalling working and living conditions, women's rights, etc. Stuff like that. the Progressive era lasted until around the 1920's when women got the right to work. Teddy Roosevelt was considered a Progressive president, but the movement had been around for about 10-15 yrs before his first term began. It was this same movement that started the national parks system and organizations such as the Sierra Club.

E. - None of the above. The progressive era was from about the 1890's to the 1920's (wikipedia) There are other websites that say that the Progessive Era was from about the 1890's to 1913. Either way the answer is (E)

I would assume "C" because progressive means to move forward and during that time period, the industrial revolution happened where hand-done things were replaced with factories and cars were introduced and a decade such as the roaring 20's. things like that. :)
