make the most of it sweetheart!!! Your period will come, it can happen any time between the ages of 10 and 16 or 17, it all depends on how fast your body is maturing. I developed very young and started my periods at 11, but you have plenty of time, please don;t worry!!!

Well in order to start your period, you need to have somewhere between 9 and 11 percent body fat. So if you are very active, or wickid thin, that would be why.
If your only 13, don't worry. I am 16 and there are girls in my grade who have not gotten it yet. Periods generally start between 12 and 14 and can ultimately range anywhere from 8 to 18, so dont worry yet. You are still pretty young.
Don't look at it as a pain; see it as a blessing. Once you get it, you have it for a long time, and most of the time you do have it, it is a pain in the butt. So be happy :)

How big are you? Smaller girls can be later starting - don't worry if you haven't started by 16/17 the docs will give you a check and give you some hormone tablets to bring on your periods, in the mean time chill, stress doesn't help anything! It'll happen in it's own time, everyone is different.

For most girls, their first menstrual period, or menarche (say: meh-nar-kee), begins about 1 1/2 to 2 years after breast development starts. In some girls, the time from the beginning of puberty to getting the first menstrual period may take only 6 months; for other girls, it may take longer - up to 3 years. Every girl is different, and there is a wide range of normal development during puberty.
A good sign you're getting close to the time when your first period will arrive is if you notice a thick, white mucous discharge coming from your vagina. Usually, this happens for a number of months before you get your first period.

You body clock just hasn't got there yet and there is nothing you can do to speed it up. Don't worry you are not outwith the normal age range. Also in a few months time when it is all happening you will look back and wish it wasn't!

Believe me, once you have periods you will wish you didnt. They are not called "the curse" for nothing. Periods are inconvenient and they make you feel dirty and smelly and self conscious and they are just ghastly. Girls mature at different rates. 13 is young. There is nothing wrong with you if you dont have your periods yet.

i know a girl who didnt start until she was 16, be patient but if the day comes that you are 18 and still havnt had a period, see a doctor. but 13 doesnt automatically mean you will get it.

It may not come for a while.
But seriously, evnjoy it while it lasts. Go swimming, eat loads of food when you want it.
When it comes, you'll wish you didn't have it!
Being a girl sucks, and a teenager even more!

well you are still quite young to be starting. i didnt start until i was 14 and my mum was 16 so it really does change from person to person. you cant really predict it very well but you could start soon. just watch out for the signs that you might start soon. and trust me once they do start you will wish they didnt because they are rather yucky. but anyway just hang on in there and everything will be okay :). i hope this helps xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
