I refused to sign the pre-nup, or any paperwork for him regarding our home.

Meanwhile, back on the farm in Virginia, the latest little escapade from my wonderful husband is that he used a line of credit he got by falsely representing himself as "single" and used that money along with money owed to him by a client for work (paid directly to the title company ... and avoiding income taxes) and mortgaged our home to the max to buy more property which he put solely in his name.

This man truly is a slimebag, he broke his word to put my name on the house after we married (the house has since accrued significant equity) and now this. It just keeps gettin better.

Other than my first thought (lawyer) anyone have any creative ideas on this one?

he is commiting fraud I would call a lawyer and get a divorce from this man before he puts you into a hole you could never be able to crawl out of . and now your name is not on the house well that is good in a way it means you wont be responsible if it all gets taken away from him . although if you can afford it I would get myself a place of my own and seperate myself from him he is a slimebag and you dont want to go down with him . so see an attorney and get a divorce quickly . good luck .

The IRS has a place on their website where you can report cheats. I say you start there. Then get a lawyer to protect your interest in the house.

Wow...clever fellow.

Forget anything else. get the lawyer. A good one too. He's screwed misrepresenting himself to the bank/mortage company.
