culture is a mixed back and it is even more mixed here in the States. As for my self I shave 7 different nationalities in my blood line. Yes there may have been harm done in the past by these nation but if you are a student of history you would understand that these things were done countless times in history. Note the romans. Many things such as culture is simple past one to the next generation. I beleive now we are entering a culture of understanding cause of the information age, but at the same time old wounds and hurts are still alive and well. I am proud to say that I belong to a culture that is always been involved with the focus of change.

Timothy, that is such a good question. Many people believe that embracing your ethnic culture is a form of racism. However if you show love for people of all cultures and racial backgrounds, then you are NOT a racist.

Apparently its only racist if you are proud to be white. There has to be one race that is a scapegoat to be blamed for other races' problems. Why take personal responsibility for your life if you can blame all your problems on whitey?

For example bettercockster with his typical racist post above. Maybe he is mad because someone hid his foodstamps under his workboots and he is starving. That of course would be whitey's fault and not his.

to be a racist is to look down on people just because of the color of their skin. Now, if you are not doing that, then you are not a racist.

It's hard... I'm Portuguese & people think because we're proud it means we're racist... it's not that at all, if I was from Ivory Coast, China or Mexico I'd still be proud of where I came from. I'm not proud of what my ancestors did... I'm not condoning it.

Well you can have pride and that doesn't mean you are racist. Racist is ignorance. Ignorance means not knowing.

Having pride in your heritage means celebrating your heritage without bringing other races down. Some people fail in doing so. That's why people say people are racist by bringing other races down.

"Racist" is so overused by lame-os it has lost all meaning.
Have pride, and to hell with those jealous gits who have nothing to be proud of, given the state of their races.
Today, if you don't embrace ignorant loud-mouth boors you're a "racist". BOLLOCKS TO THAT!!!!
