If you hold the racquet in a proper Eastern grip and can see about 1/8" between your forefinger and palm, it's probably the right size.

Although you can measure from the tip of your longest finger to the center crease in your palm, comfort also depends on the individual as well. What is too large for some might be good for others. Generally trying a few close sizes for full matches will let you know what's right for you.

Some handles have different shapes too. Some are more oval than others. Trial and error is the best test.

I would suggest buying a racket that has a grip size of 4 1/2.....if you don't have the money, just put overgrips on it....you can buy them anywhere....they're 3 for $5

Grip size is dependent upon your hand size, not your height!

In High School our coach told us that a good grip size is when the tip of your thumb reaches the first knuckle of your middle finger.

Yes, this means 4 3/8 inches, read "four and 3/8 inches". It is a measure of the circumference of the grip without any tape on it.
