Is there a way I can get it off myself without ruining my clothes? I know I can always go back to the store with the receipt, but I want to wear them today.. if that's possible.

why don't you wear a different set of clothes and take the ones with the security tags back to the store with your receipt...and after they've taken care of the security tag issue, you can go home and change into that outfit.

You will have to take it back to the store with the receipt. Or if it is to far take it to a similar store that is closer and show them the receipt. The second store will usually take it off to help you out. Don't take it off yourself or it will mess up your clothes.

Uunfortunately, tags like that are filled with ink, and you can't get them off yourself, without the special machine, without cutting either the clothes themselves or busting the tag that will cause a permanent inkstain on the material.

I had the same issue once, I had bought a baby wrap and they forget to remove the tag. When I took it back to have it removed they told me it was a good thing I came back and not try and take it off myself because blue ink stuff will leak out and wreck the wrap.
You might as well take it back , its the only way your going to be able to wear it.

Some of these have ink in them so you should take it back and have it removed. Sucks, has happened to me before. The large plastic ones can be impossible to take off without a special tool.

those things have to be taken off with a device they have at the store i think. you'd probably rip the clothes.
but look on the bright side. if you complain to the manager of the store about the inconveniance, they might give you a gift card or something to make it up to you!

No! you will get ink all over yourself and the item that you purchased , go back to the store and get them to take it off! I find this most annoying too!

um no it aint, u'll end up tearing the clothes or spilling security ink thats in the plastic tags..... just wait or u'll ruin it and then u wont be able to return it at all!

as long as you are sure they are not the kind with the ink in them...you can work them off with a screwdriver usually or a pair of plyers
