8800 GTX runs for about $530 if you do price shopping, say pricewatch.com. You can expect about $50-$100 more at a store like Best Buy. Is it good? Yes. So is the GTS, for about half the price, about $290. The big question is, good for what? If you absolutely must have the latest and fastest model, then stick with the GTX. If not, the GTS will do, and at that price range, the ATI Radeon x1950 becomes a viable competitor. So again, it all depends on why you're getting it.
