The museums are rich with N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth paintings and many more. Free admission every Friday to the art museum in town and we have a College of the Arts that is open to the public as well. All types of boating activities (ocean and lake), beach (fairly unpopulated ones and ones with a boardwalk), great nightlife and music, Theater, many activism gatherings of all sorts, free concerts every Thursday, and free movie in the park on Saturdays, first Friday (of the month) art walk along the main road through the city, and all galleries. Tour the Shipyard brewery, or make it to the micro-brew fest and sample them all. There are a huge amount of island communities that can be reached by ferries from here. The dinner cruises can be fun. Many African culture presentations (we have a lot of refugees in our area). Waterslides, snow tubing, skiing, hiking, whale watching, watching the sun rise over the ocean and set over Back Bay. The list goes on and on.
Come visit us any time of year, it's "Vacationland" baby!

Hmmm, funny I really don't live in a town but in a village of rural importance....at least that is what the county calls the area where I live. Anyway, there are some dirt roads that will take you up the Palomar Mountains and eventually you will get to the Palomar Observatory. There you can star gaze or you can picnic underneath the big huge oak trees or evergreen trees that are there. It really is quite peaceful and majestic.

The beach and nature trails. The trails start in town, and continue for over 8 miles .... out to the natural, sandy beach. The fishing is a huge tourist attraction as well. It's absolutely beautiful here!! :)

My town does not have a lot of things going on. You could check out a dairy farm. However, there are things to do within a half hour of my house. You could take a tour at the Ben & Jerry's factory, check out the granite museum, go out to eat. In the winter you can go skiing, snowboarding, or snowmobiling. In the summer you can walk on the boardwalk at Lake Champlain, go on the ferry, go for a hike, etc...

Once on a tourist video for my city, the library was the feature presentation. But I'd say check out downtown on a Friday night.

We have an old time train station that puts on train robbery shows a couple times a year. Includes people on horse back. We also have the court house where the old Lindenburg trail was held - they just restored recently - it was a trail based on a kidnapping case. And an outlet village with so called discount prices. I really don't go there anymore. Enjoy.
