No. The early development is very important. Babies need nutrients and calories to grow and develop properly. Pregnancy is not the time to lose weight, but it is the time to eat healthy. If you are worried about getting too large during your pregnancy, start eating healthier and exercising. Walking and swimming can be done anytime during pregnancy. Exercise is encouraged during pregnancy because it helps with labor, delivery and recovery as well. However, discuss it with your doctor before doing any exercises. Eating healthier is not only beneficial to the baby, but will keep you from gaining excess weight during your pregnancy.

Yes it is riskless. South Beach is an excessively balanced nutrition. The most effective factor is, you are not able to do segment one million (the very strict commencing segment) - it is a little too restrictive and youngster would possibly not get all her vitamins and minerals that manner. If you suppose approximately it, on segment two of the nutrition, you'll be able to simply be reducing out the sugar, junk meals and prime GI meals, and that may most effective be well for you and youngster! You'll consume low fats protein, a lot of greens and prime-fibre carbs. Good success!

Dieting would be the wrong terminology. Any good doctor would tell you NO. However, if you eat healthier, watch your sugar intake, you may lose a few unwanted pounds the healthy way. The healthier diet is better for baby anyhow. Congratulations on your new baby.

1st tri-mester is the MOST IMPORTANT to get nutrition
dont diet just eat healthier you NEED weight gain its weight gain NOT FAT... it goes to different places like the placenta ur breasts the baby ur blood etc...
get a pregnancy excercise options from your doctor and
then eat healthier and you wont gain any fat but u will gain weight and lose if after birth.
EDIT- what could happen?
low birth weight, deformitities b/c alot of the development is in the 1st tri-mester (like eyes and brain.) you could deform its lil brain., or you passing out and miscarrying.
why would u wanna diet pregnant? and if the baby survives ur dieting it would end up in NICU with tubes everywhere could you live with that? i couldnt.

I don't think so. You baby is growing in the most important way right now. So much depends on the first trimester. Just eat tons of fruits and vegetables and cut out the sugar. Plus if you have morning sickness, you'll need to eat what sounds good, not what is in your "diet"

Talk to your doctor about "dieting" while pregnant, anything different from your normal food choices is considered dieting but you really should speack to a doctor or nutritionist about a healthy diet plan while pregnant so you get all the good stuff you need for the baby and you (including some foods with fat since it is healthy to gain some extra body fat while pregnant) but with a plan of what foods to eat you can eliminate as much fat as possible so you only gain what is necessary.

dieting is never healthy pregnant or not. diet is a temporary fix. most people end up gaining it all back and then some, plus yo yo dieting is horrible on your body.
if you want to avoid a huge gain just eat healthy and exercise. i always lost weight in the beginning of my pregnancies by being sick, who knows, perhaps you'll luck out!
