well maggots are filthy, so bleach is a good idea... you'll have to do some scrubbing though just to make sure it's clean.
Good luck!

just hose them out then use the bleach to kill any bacteria growing in the can. leave it open to air. maggots are fly eggs so whenever there's garbage in the can, keep the lid on tight. you could also hang a fly strip where you store the cans to help prevent this in the future.

I don't think pipe cleaner would do much, but bleach should. pour bleach in the can, swish it around and then spray it down with water & soap. If the come back, get some Raid or something.

Scrub out the garbage can with soap and water, rinse, and let dry in the sun for the day. You may have to tip it so that the sunshine can hit the bottom of the can.

Yeah, just pour a bottle of bleach in. Make sure you get it on the sides all around in there, let it sit overnight. That ought to do it.

first clean out the garbage can, hose it down with water.
you are getting maggots because flies can get in, make sure you close the lid tight so flies are less likely to get in.

Spray it with bug spray and put the lid back on for a while and then take the hose and spray it out.

ooooooh yuck--quickest way--dump them out onto blacktop and step on them. drowning them with water will do it too, but that'll take some time. safest and cheapest chemical to drown them would be vinegar. don't use bleach--it's not safe to dump outside. remember too--mixing chemicals can create fumes that could kill YOU--so be careful please vinegar and bleach together is lethal to humans and pets if you inhale the fumes.

bleach, soap and hot water should work. good luck. it is easier with a water hose but either way it is still gross. hope it goes ok.
