What the heck is the little fella's name on lord of the rings that goes with sam and frodo, that tries to steal the ring..........uhhhh he's really ugly...........he always says my precious..........lol ......its killin me i can't think of his name......he kinda looks like dobby from harry potter

His name WAS Smeagol, and he was a hobbit like Frodo and Sam (well, he was a version of a hobbit)
As the ring turned him into an evil version of himself, his throat began aging in an unnatural way, and his coughing sounded like "gollum gollum."
He was then known as "the creature Gollum." When Frodo called him Smeagol, for the first time in hundreds of decades, his pleasant side, Smeagol, came back to him, and began a schizophrenic battle with Gollum, the nasty, evil version.

Eowyn is my favorite character, she is sad and strong and is pretty much the only female character to go through a significant change. She is also the one I can relate to because she has a great fear of going through life unnoticed and Wormtongue prays on her fears. And I had my own Wormtongue for a long time. So I can identify with her attempts to break free. My least favorite character is Saurman the White. He betrayed Gandalf and because of his own thirst for power fell pray to the Dark Lord. In many ways, I think that makes him more dangerous because his true nature wasn't obvious and others had placed their trust in him. If I could meet anyone it would be Bilbo. I mean it all started with him, didn't it? He'd probably have a lot of interesting things to say. And he'd offer good food while we talked I'm sure! I would probably be a Hobbit. Maybe Rosie or an otherwise unnamed Hobbit. I love the idea of the simple life Hobbits lead. Tending a garden, drinking and gossiping in a pub, singing and dancing, their love of food (especially that!). Having no real interest or thought for the wider world around them and the wider world having no real interest in them. A quiet life, a simple life. And I've always liked to sounds of Hobbit Holes, being quite short myself! :-)

His name is Gollum. A hobbit mutated by the rings power for which he held it for 500 years and it poisoned his mind. His real name is Smeagol, a hobbit who killed his cousin (I think) to get the ring from him as a gift. It enhanced his skill in stealing. He was casted out of by his kin.He lived as savage in the wilderness and by then he has forgotten his own name. Someone gave him the name gollum because of the sound he makes in his throught, "Gollum, Gollum!" Coughing sound.
