If you want to include the entire group in a single game (and not break off into smaller groups), then you need games to accommodate numerous players. Party games (ones that easily accommodate 10 or more players) that I would recommend include:

Apples to Apples - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/74
It is always fun ("wrong" answers can be quite entertaining) and can be found at your local Target store.

Wits & Wagers - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/20100
Another fun game based on trivia. Best part is that you do NOT have to be a trivia expert to win! This one may be a little harder to find, but a good place to look is an online game store like ThoughtHammer ( http://www.thoughthammer.com/product_info.php?products_id=1069 )

Haggle - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/17529
This is a public domain game designed by the legendary Sid Sackson. It requires some preparation beforehand, but can be a lot of fun, especially if there is a prize for the winner. It also encourages social interaction. More information can be found in Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggle_(game) ).

Mafia (aka Werewolf) - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/925
A party game that is hugely popular on some college campuses. Wikipedia has more about this ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_%28game%29 ).

I love the game Therapy. It gets people to really analyze other players and has some cool, though outdated psychology facts on their multiple choice questions. If you are into games like this, I would also recommend loaded questions. Its similar to Therapy, except the game play is more direct. Basically you answer questions, like hypotheticals and opinionated questions, and then someone guesses the answerer for the questions. It gets great when people put down humorous answers and its a really great way to get to know people. Caution for both of these games though, if you are new to a group of people and don't know much about anyone at the party, then the game will be out of your favor. These games are best played when either no one really knows anyone else or if you all know each other well. Have fun!!!

Any trivia game, be it Trivial Pursuit (any edition), or pertaining to a particular show (C.S.I., The Simpsons, Friends), or any of the Scene It? DVD trivia games. Depending on how many people are at your party, you can group up into teams based on the number of game pieces of the game, and call them (color) team (Red Team, Yellow Team, etc.). Everyone will have fun.

Some trivia games may require extra steps, such as charades (Friends), or uncovering clues (C.S.I.). You can choose to eliminate this part, and make it strictly Q & A. We did that with a Friends game I had, and The Simpsons as well.

Scattergories and Outburst are really fun especially since the rules are simple and set up time is really quick. IT always sucks when you have to set up up pieces and count money.

With these two all you really need is paper and pencils for Scattergories and for Outburst just the cards and viewer it comes with

Another great game is any of the "scene it" games if you have access to a dvd player

Catch Phrase is also fun especially for playing team games

I like the one where you have to give clues without saying the actual thing, until someone on your team gets it right. I cannot think of the name, ugh. But there is a board version and an electronic one. And you can just make up your own and use a timer. There are categories like famous people, animals, food and drink....

Pictionary
Trival Pursuit
Scattergories
Cranium

anything that gets people active and laughing ( think too many people take monoploy too serious and it loses the fun, but I have a monopoly card game that worked well)
