What is your reaction to this quote:

Try to satisfy your husband always. Put him in the first place because he is the closest to you and he is the one who cares about you more than anyone else.

Even if this means you will lose your friends.

I somewhat agree. Friends are very important and you should never lose them. Try to reach a compromise. Ultimately, your husband, who is closest to you, will come first MOST of the time over friends..

Hmm. I guess it depends in part on whether the statement truly describes a person's husband. And on how good of friends your friends are.

My husband is my best friend, and that statement describes him well. Having said that, he encourages me to have other friends. So it seems to me that the quote may have been written by someone interested in dominating their woman and alienating her from outside friendships and resources. If that were the case, that would negate the accuracy of the description of the husband.

Who is the QOUTE from????? I Would try to put my husband first- not before God or my Children~ or friends.
Would I be there? Always. Honest? Yes. Cheat on him? Never. Friends are FOREVER!!!!!
Husbands SHOULD be---but are NOT always Forever.
You really should have put the name of the Person who you are quoting????
Would that change our answers?????
I personnaly do not think so!

I'll do almost anything to satisfy my man, but I will not put him before my best friends - never, especially those who have been there before him.. I would be willing to make sacrifices, and I'd hope he'd do the same for me.

Sounds like a good deal for the husband and a lousy deal for the wife and everyone who really cares about her.

God should come first place then your spouse second place your family then your friends. But you should try to lose your friends just to please your spouse. Your friend should understand when it's spouse time and your spouse should understand when it's firend time don't get too selfish and don't want to share. You suppose you just want to hang out with your friends and other times you want to be home cuddling with your spouse.Hopefully you have enough love to go around.

If a man made a woman lose her friends, he would not make her truly happy and therefore would not and should not be her husband.

Who said that?! I believe I can still put him in at number 1 but still have friends. I'm not going to hang out with my friends excessively either. I TRIED to but him at number one, and you know what, he got mad at me for not giving him any time with his friends. What do I do about that?!
