He works for the CIA. That blanket was just a cover up for his surreptitious activities as a sleuth nonpareil. He was just recently reassigned after Dick Cheney had him outed. He was given back his cloak and dagger. ( The cloak has taken the place of his childhood blanket.)

I hope he sold good COVERage and didn't try and steer his customers to less of a good deal..though that would be schrod'er? (good business savvy)..A real wheeler deeler, that Linus. Automatically could sell any policy..yesiree bob, you bet ya life...

Sure, he had that one covered. He'd make sure that anyone needed insurance could be securely tucked in to his policy.
