I had a friend who had surgery on her hip, because she fell and broke it. Instead of a total hip replacement, they just replaced the ball. It was back in October of last year and she has had some problem with pain. She did not use her cane all the time either. I asked my therapist what she could do and she said she needed to do some strengthening exercise, because they had to cut in to muscles and ligaments etc and that is where some of the pain was coming from. I told her she too needed to see a therapist and she did and she is not in as much pain.
I have had surgery, several actually, 1. arthroscopic surgery on my knee, 2. 2-C-sections, 3. Carpal Tunnel Surgery 4. Broken Ankle Surgery.

If you are asking about how long will it be that you will be able to get back to normal routine. To start feeling better takes about 3 months and it get better as time goes along. It normally take about 1 year to be able to go back to your normal routine. I wish you a speedy recovery.
