Do you feel you are an illusion?
I am not an illusion. Who can truly say about the rest? But I know I am real so I have reasoned that if I am real and if others are seeing what I see then I am not crazy and my surroundings are indeed real.

It would be an incredible coincidence if Earth were the only planet to hold life, but equally that it would be an incredible coincidence if cognisant life on another planet could be recognised by us, except possibly by scientific experimentation. Communication between the two life forms seems extremely unlikely to be possible, and it is very unlikely that man could ever visit other life-bearing planets, given that all those stars within travelling distance of more than a few generations can be seen not to support planets that could possibly contain life. Making the far-fetched assumption that a distant life-bearing planet could be identified and intergalactic transport designed and built to reach it, so many generations of traveller would have lived and died in the spaceship that the survivors, when they eventually touch down, will probably have lost touch with why they went there - and nobody back home will ever have any clue whether the travellers ever arrived, so it would be all a bit of a waste of time trying to find out.

Not an illusion by any stretch of the imagination... They really exist.
Wait until deep winter, then travel to the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean. Jump in. If you feel cold, most likely it is because the ocean is there and the water in it is cold. Since the ocean lays upon the Earth and is very, very heavy, most likely the Earth is pretty big and really does exist. If you still doubt it, stay in the Ocean until you become a believer.

Both modern physics and the life philosophy of Buddhism give the same answer. Everything has the gives or has the appearence of permanence, of being solid and filled with substance however, the reality is that no thing, no part of existence has such.
All that exist is in a constant state of flux, change, a coming and a going, being and non being. Even one's thoughts change from moment to moment as part of the "ballet of impermanence."
Think of the space between molecules. Think of the space between atoms that the molecules are made of. Think of the space between the sub atomic particle of which the atoms are constructed.
Now, consider one's self. What part of you is "you". It can't be one's hair, or one's teeth, or internal organs, etc., as all of this can be removed or lost and "you" are still there.
"You" is not your job, your family, your country, your material possessions, etc., as all of that can come and go and "you" are still there.
So, who are "you"?
Is there still a "you" when all of your present physical manifestation has surrenedered all of the second generation star material it is made of back to the cosmos?
Was there ever a "you", with permanence and seperate from the rest of the universe, in the first place, or is it all the illusion of permanence, which when we cling to that idea, stops us from perceiving the true nature of reality?
The holding on to attachments, and one's desires seems to cause a sense of "otherness" and separation of one from all other ones.
If we are all from the same star material, then we are one, interdependent.
All is an illusion. Appearences can be and are deceiving.
May it be well with you.

Place a thumbtack point up on a chair. Sit on it. Is that an illusion? If you believe you can levitate and all your peers believe you can levitate and the whole world's population believes you can levitate and you jump off a roof... what happens? Reality is not subject to majority vote.
(physical reality) - (empirical reality) = faith
Faith can be trivially discounted: What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence. Empirical reality has very long legs.

Does your brain exist? That is my only question to you. Take a needle and put it all the way into your ears and then poke your eyes out. If you don't feel it then the answer is no, we don't exist.
