Because for men its important to trust someone before they can listen to what they have to say about their feelings. A lot of girls say things, hardly one of them means it (unless you are being loved), so what do you expect?

Seems like two choices, either they are being truthful and do not know or they do not feel as you do and therefore do not wish to continue in that conversation. I believe relationships are about giving the other person what they want and getting what you want. If this is not happening, try finding some you do not like at first as see if the relationship goes better. Often we seek the familiar and if the familiar is what does not work we make the same mistakes by selecting the wrong type person over and over.

Most Men don't like to share feelings. They are preconditioned to believe that feelings are strictly for girls. They speak only to make their point. Women on the other hand, communicate through emotion. They work through all their problems by discussing their feelings. Once we women realize that it is a "guy thing" that they don't share their emotions then we maybe can accept some of their behaviors better. Think about this. What does he do to show you he loves you? Does he take you out for dinner? Does he compliment your appearance? Things like that are ways that men try to share emotions. I hope this helps. This is my way of answering.

Men and woman are wired differently. If you read the book, Men are from Mars, Woman are from Venus..it gives you a clear understanding. They simply have a different chemistry makeup which disables them to communicate on the same level as woman.

A lot of men get scared by women who remind them of their mothers. They feel like you are scolding them, and this is upsetting to them when they don't even know that they did something wrong to begin with. A lot of men feel like, no matter how hard they try, they can't get their girlfriends to appreciate them. When you ask him to share his feelings about the relationship, he feels like you are telling him what to do like his mother does.
Some of the above comments (I won't name names but you know whom) contribute to male depression and feelings of being misunderstood:
Men experience more violence, more depression, and more suicide than women, but the stereotype is that we are "strong" and "insensitive." Men clean your garbage, build your houses, pave your roads and fight wars for your safety...because they are stupid and insensitive?
Saying that all that men want is sex (or start and are to be blamed for violence) is just like saying that all Muslims are terrorists. Absurd, but unfortunately, like ignorant racists, there are many ignorant sexists...

That's quite an unfair generalization there. Maybe you just aren't hanging around with the right men.

Because they know you won't like what they have to say, so they spare you, at least until they can get some more sex first. Why don't you just try a direct question?

That is just how men are. Most of them don't like to talk about that kind of stuff no matter how much we need to.

It's a combination of ego, stupidity and immaturity. All three are common in males.
