How do you puncuate the name of a story that is inside a book?

For example, an author writes a book entitled "My Favorite Collection of Stories", and the first story is entitled "My Favorite First Story". Are italics used here? Anything underlined? What about the parenthesis, are they used? Please advise.

You should underline the names of novels and plays. Use quotation marks for the names of poems and short stories.
