What do you like better, cats or dogs? Why?

I have both, and i would have to say Dogs!.. I am very active and i appreciate having a companion that appreciates being with me and spending time with me outside!
My cats are great for relaxing and being lazy...and they are very funny and have great personalities..but there are a lot of limitaions on what you can do with a cat opposed to a dog!

a dog is so much better than a cat B/c they actually care that you are in the room.Dogs actually wont your attention, if to much attention bothers you then train your dog ,another thing your cat cant do is be trained or then using the liter box (wow). it really comes down to if you wont a pet you that's a companion or if you just wont a pet to look at,while it just looks back at you now don't get me wrong i love both cats and dogs but i will always go for a dog B/c, cats could care less if you were home or not until they wont or need something.

It depends on the cat or dog! I have a verrry sweet cat, but many cat are very independant, and a lot of people want cats that they can cuddle up with. And dogs are soo fun to be around, but some are very hyper, and most dogs don't get the proper training, which leads to behavior problems, and then people give up their dogs to shelters, when it was their fault to begin with :(

I actually like both as pets. I honestly have to go with a dog because I think they make better companions. Cats usually don't like to be bothered, but dogs love to get attention and give attention. However, cats are more clean. Sorry, I can't really choose.

I had cats for years
I do love them
but the litter box and the hair is a bit too much
they tend to be a bit more independent

I now have a small dog Yorkshire Terrier
and I prefer him
he wants to be loved and wants att. all of the time
he is high maintenance but that is why I got him.

he is my "baby"
he also gets me out of the house

But I think I all ways wanted a dog I took my one cat out for long walks and yes she would walk just like a dog

and both of my cats could sit down and shake paw and sit pretty on command lol

we my family of 6 love cats,they are independant animals,dogs are dependands
we have 3 cats they sleep in at night go play and eat through the day come for hugs and affection when they feel like it catch,mice and insects and are loyal to you
and they clean themselves

I like dogs, because all cats prefer their things and their comfort first and they put you last in their things to do....
They can be trained easly, they´re pretty smart, when my little winnie dog wants to poop, she goes to the front of the back-door of my house (to exit to the yard) and sits down, and when she wants to come back, she barks, How cute!
And i like more dogs because they are guardians, they want you to know everything

i prefer cats over dogs. cats are independent. they clean themselves, go to the bathroom without having to walk them, they eat when they want. they are quiet and cute and cuddly and i love them. i dont know they are just so much cooler to me than dogs
