Don't get me wrong other systems have better graphic and things like that...but actually thats what gives the NES its edge. With having no graphics whats so ever, it still had more classics, fun, and challanging games then any other system. I can still like think about nintendo games that would still be fun today even with all the other super high tech systems out there. It seems like now they work more on how GOOD the game looks, then how fun it is. Think about zelda for NES, its probably the best game ever made when you think about the graphics to gameplay. Question is, what system do YOU think is best out of every system made. Atari, Nes, SNES, Sega, Dreamcast, Playstation, PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, hell even the handhelds lol. Which one is the best? My opinion the NES..

NES all the way! DuckHunt, Super Mario, Street Fighter... Blowing on the cartridge when the screen started skipping. Priceless. I still have mine :)

First of all, you cannot beat the classics. That was the first major game system, and look how well it did. People are still playing it today. I have seen them everywhere, but I have never seen Atari, Sega, or Dreamcast. What does that say. I am all nintendo (Mario, DK, and Link are the best characters ever). My order pretty much goes best is the oldest and worst (which are still awesome) is the newest. I still play with my SNES, N64, and NES. They are the best game stations there are. I completely despise the Xbox, the only good game they have is Halo, and I liked PS2, but my first one was sent out and called back, and there was a glitch in it, and the second one got stolen. I love Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2, so next goes the playstation systems. And as I said before, I have never seen Atari, Sega, or Dreamcast games.

The PS2 is the best system to date. Sony has sold over 120 million PS2, and the next closest system is the PSX which sold just a little over 100 million. The NES doesn't even come close to the PS2's sales.

The NES might have a lot of classic games, but it's not the best selling system.

Just a note but the NES was not the first successful video game console. That honor would have to go to Atari 2600. If Atari wasn't so successful, it wouldn't have led to the fall of the video game era. People were buying Atari left and right, and because of it's success, Atari slacked off and just started putting out as many games as it can, even if the games were crappy. Atari was banking on the name itself, and consumers would buy games just because of the Atari name. Atari was wrong.

I don't think it's the best ever made.

Why?

Aside from numerous timeless classics, the poor old new had a thousand clones of games for each original title. Movie licences were given away like free treats and developers repeatedly destroyed them.

I'm not saying it was bad, I'm just saying it isn't the best ever.
