There is no point in dwelling on "should have", "could have" and "if only". The fact is that we cannot go back in time and change anything - the gift of hindsight is one which cannot be unwrapped in advance of the big event. We can only try to learn from our experiences and keep moving forward. In many cases, there are other circumstances beside our own actions which conspire to make an event, so even if we HAD acted differently the outcome may have been just the same.

Listened to my parent, friends just about every body else when they told me not to marry at 19. The marriage lasted less than a year. It was the biggest 'I told you so' ever.
