I've been dating this guy and the last couple of months have been rocky. He has finally decided that he wants to be with me forever. He has asked me to move in and be with him. My parents tell me no and that he isn't worth it. They also want to stick me in therapy for everything that has happened with him. I want to move out and go live with him, but I'm afraid of losing my family. I want to leave but I'm afraid.

It seems to me you have answered your own question! Do you really want to lose your family for some guy you have only been with a few months and are already having a rocky relationship.

If you are afraid, clearly you shouldn't move in with him. If it was going to be a good thing, you wouldn't be scared at all. You would do without consulting anyone. And if you have to be in therapy for everything that has happened with him, than clearly you need to up your amount of visits if you are considering moving in with him. If you have to see a therapist because of the guy you are seeing, than that relationship is not worth it. Good Luck.

It depends on what he has done to you. By the sounds of things he hasnt treated you very well. If things are this bad within a couple of months, i wonder how bad they'll be in a few years. Maybe your family is right.
Listen to your own instincts and ask yourself if moving in with him will really make you happy. I hope this helps.

I'd advise you to go on yr own first. then if your guy really really wants you, he will wait for you. if not, he is not worth yr attention. ask yourself if you are moving in with him to be away from the parents perhaps? Your own place no one can take away from you. so that will always be a safe haven.
Therapy can be useful in dealing with things you feel troubled with. However, it should be something you choose to do because you want to learn something, not because someone else thinks you need it. Unless you are behaving weird of course, and even then it is your choice as long as you are not endangering others. ... :-))
