beyond the legal aspect of it, there is a HUGE difference in mindset (regardless of how mature your friend is) between 16 and 23- much different than 21 and 28 for example. I moved in with my (ex)husband when I was 16 and he was 24. We were together for 7 years when we split up earlier this year. I missed out on the best years of my childhood and early 20s because I was too busy playing house. Once you move in with someone it becomes that much more difficult to end it if necessary. I'm 24 now, and I can't imagine dating someone in high-school. Would your friend date a 5th grader? Tell your friend to move out, slow down, and have some fun!

It is the plain n simple truth of nature. "everyone" thinks that at the age of 15/16, one should be worried of her carrier, the human being she is trying to become, the kind of path she wants to chose in life and obviously if "everyone" find out that she has been sleeping with some1 who is older to her by almost a decade and that she has moved in with him, they will feel it is "wrong". It is right only when you have achieved a certain age, mindset, clarity, focus, discipline and wisdom in life. I don't think she has most of the above factors which is y "everyone" think this is wrong.

It is wrong because she is a minor. She is only a child. It is illegal. He could go to jail for it. And where are the parents!?! Any 23 year old who would have sex with a 16 year old girl is just sick and pathetic. This relationship will ruin your friends life.

People think it's wrong because by law that's considered rape even if both people are willing to have the relationship. Also, people generally think that a man that old who is messing around with a young girl like that is only after one thing. They may or may not be right but I would tell your friend to be careful just in case, she is still really young.

Because it's illegal and if the cops ever found out he'd be in jail and on a sex offender registry.
Two kids messing around don't know any better. But at 15 kids don't know what they want, or anything about responsibility of sex....he however should know, and should have enough brains not to go after children.

Because she's 16 and he's not!!!! Why would a man want a 16 year old, they shouldn't have anything in common...he's obviously immature, and should be with someone his own age...Statistically, it won't last...she should be involved in school and things there...and she's living with him? Must come from a loving, secure family...I feel sorry for her....

because its considered a form of rape since she is a minor and can not legally make decisions for herself. She probably believe its love too. Yeah, puppy dog love. When he finds something better, he will just move on. Tell your friend some good advice and get out of this relationship if that is what you guys want to call it.

First off, they arn't married. He is older than her, she shouldn't have moved out so young I think. Her parents must not care if she ends up with kids out of wedlock...It just dosn't seem right. Since she was fifteen? He is a jerk, especially if he asked her to move in with him. Just so he could use her. Get her out of this mess if your a good friend!
PLUS is is aginst the law.
Because it is aginst the law, he must not be very smart or he knows it. She must not be very smart either, thats why they are no good for each other.
It dosn't take a smart person to figure out that this is messed up.

Because, usually when an adult dates a kid it is just for sex. What on earth could a child and a 23 year old have in common besides that? And it illegal anyway, so thats another reason.

Because she is still basically a child and he is an adult. In 4-5 years in would not be bad, but right now it's just wrong.
