I'm a different sort of girl, been through it all. I generally have my debit card ready, when I order dessert. When the waiter comes with the check, I grab it with a onetimer that would make Jagr blush with envy, drop my card into the little leather folder and hand it back. I do not take no for an answer, but I will say "you can take care of the movie tickets" I just don't like feeling obligated. I just want company, companionship, laughter. The rest takes time.
I married the only one who didn't get mad about that.

Well, when I was single, I would offer to pay my half. Of course the guy would always pay. Which is how it should be!! Then after a few dates, I think the girl can pay.

The man should always pay. But there have been times where I was stuck with the bill and I was not happy. This means there will be no second date.

Yes I did with my husband, I had just won £200:00 on the day before the date and I thought I would treat him, it was a lovely date and we have been together 22 years now.

I foot the bill. It's not like the guy is an endless source of money.

I think the person who asks should expect to pay, but I will always volunteer and be willing to pay my half.

Neither. It's best to go dutch on the first date but it depends on the situation also.
