I think that they should. Even if he did test positive for steroids, he provides little to no value to the team. He can't hit homeruns or steal, plays average defense and an ok batting average.

I find it quite amusing, that even on steroids, he still cant hit or field.

The fact is he NEVER should the team out of spring training.

I have ever faith that The Tigers will do the right thing, and give him his unconditional release.

I have NEVER liked Neifi Perez, and hopefully we will never see his fugly mug again!!!

Plus The Tigers should NOT have to pay either!

I have not herd that about Nefi. He will go into the drug prevention program set-up for the players and hopefully he will not have a future problem. First occurrence is a 50 day suspension that he will have to serve. I don't know that I would release him at this point if I were the Tigers unless their team policy is to release anyone on the team for first occurrence.
