If you must know the story...my son did a book report on it (we borrowed it from the library) and he returned it forgetting to get the number of pages and the publishing date. We found the publishing date but have not been able to get the number of pages. It didn't say the edition on the cover.
by the way, to the person who wanted to assume that I was someone trying to take the easy way out, don't assume you know a persons reasons for asking a question, just answer it. And if you don't have the answer, then skip to another question.

The 2003 Penguin paperback edition has 544 pages.

There are a lot. The number of pages depends on which edition you use.

Dickens got paid by the word for his stories, so there are a lot of words, if that helps. It's long, but it's a great story.

This is one of those questions teachers ask to make sure you at least open the book. Is that really too much trouble? Or were you hoping to avoid even buying a copy?
