If I am robbed and I check my robber the next day can I legally hurt him or her without killing them. If I am shot and I find out the shooter the next day will I legally be allowed to commit this type of assault as long as no one is killed?

No. Especially not since now there is public proof of calculation to commit the act.

1) The desires of the victim have no relevance past arrest. it is the decision of the District Attorney, not the victim to prosecute or not. 2) She can not be summarily placed on probation without a court appearance in the US or other English law based country. If she was put on probation, the case was not dropped. it was probably plea bargained. Or the DA just offered a deal. But a judge still had to sign off. 3) There was not a trial, merely a preliminary hearing and an acceptance of the plea bargain.

It would be a crime. When you go to jail you might even get housed together with the robber.

Let the court system do its job.

By the way you can sue the robber.

You are, in a sense, talking about taking the law into your own hands. This is the "eye for an eye" idea. It is not legal to defend yourself retroactively. It would be assault, with a weapon, it would be assault with a weapon.
