Ok, So today my friend wants me to go camping w/ her and her family. well....
Her mom's bf is a pot smoker
Her mom is controlling
Her brother is abusive
and her brother's friend is annoying.
I don't know if i should go or not, my dad says i should b/c of the experience and my mom's says i shouldn't because in order to have fun camping you would have to go w/ the right people.
should i go or not?
(and yes i have slept over at her house be4 and it was NOT fun)

That is the question: Will you have fun? If not, don't go. Camping is fun, but being in a tent with people you don't like is miserable. And if the pop smoker gets busted, then what.

I am not sure how old you are, but my advice would be: If you have stayed at your friends before, and there were problems and you didn't have a good time or you were nervous, maybe you should not go this time. Camping is suppose to be fun with people you enjoy being around. I agree with both of your parents. The experience is great ( our family camps during the summer ), and you would probably enjoy it if you've never been, but on the other hand, if this family has a lot of issues such as arguing, drugs, and abuse, well maybe you should not put yourself in a bad situation. Tough decision-Good luck.

Stay home and be at peace ... you've already stayed at her house and that 'test drive' is probably only a little taste of what it will be like camping. Your mom is right ...

i say no bc her brother gets abusive and u never know if it can happen to u and he is a pot smoker nooo don't goo
