We have become a country that puts the individual first. The 60's ideology of "if it feels good, do it" has entrenched itself into American culture. As a so-called forward thinking society we have rejected God and His laws that kept us fairly civilized and enacted our own random, arbitrary rules that allow us to continue the "if it feels good, do it" mind-set with a guilt-free attitude. We kill our pre-born children under the guise of "choice", yet convict someone of killing that same pre-born child if they do it. We continue to have situational ethics that allow us to operate in a free-for-all environment with no solid standard of behavior. We have sexually transmitted diseases that were once unheard of because no one can see the logic of staying abstinent, because, hey! Sex feels good, so let's do it!! We kicked God out of schools, the home, the office and the government and then wonder why people are so hateful, so deceitful, so hurtful. We kill, steal and destroy with wanton disregard for those around us, while saying "hey, this feels good, so I'm going to do it". We abuse and hurt our children sexually, emotionally, mentally. We sell them, use them, work them and don't set rules or standards for them to follow and then wonder why they are out of control. We want to be their "friend" look at Lyndsey Lohan and her mother, we don't want to discipline because the liberals tell us we can't 'cause we'll damage their poor little self-esteem and then wonder why they are disrespectful at home, in school, in public places, won't follow the rules, are greedy, killing each other, doing drugs. We as a society are degenerating because we've rejected the very One that can save us. Jesus. He died a horrible death for each and every one of us. When I acepted Him in 2004, my life changed. It's not easier and in some ways harder, but I have a peace that He gave me and I want to be a better person because of Him. We could all have that if we chose. But hey, if it feels good....

Never was there, just a myth. Our nation was founded by opportunists seeking a better life, there were only a few that came over to escape religious oppression. Now our nation is trying to oppress the vast majority who has no religion.
