I have a lot of soil left from an excavation (driveway), and I am wondering if using this soil instead of buying topsoil is an option ? I don't know where to put this extra soil that's why using it for my lawn would be ideal! Does that work to use normal soil and add some kind of fertilisers ?

Will the normal soil contain enough nutrients for the future lawn ?

Where I live, we don't have topsoil but we do have sod and grass. As long as there are not a lot of rocks in the dirt, go ahead and use it in the yard.
