Is it a laptop? Most likely it is cause you mentioned fn. Well look for a button on your keyboard saying Num Lock. Press it and everythings back to normal

I am having exactly the same problem with a HP dv9000 series laptop. The only solution I have found so far is to turn off the "num lock". However, if your laptop keyboard has also a right side number keypad, like in my case, this does not work.

Sounds like you engaged the NUM Lock on your keyboard. Look for a key marked Num Lk or Num Loc. On some laptops its a stand alone key (like my Dell). On others, you must hold the FN button down and then hit the key that says num loc.

Sounds like you have a paperclip or something stuck under the keys.

Turn the keyboard over and shake it. Then vacuum it to get the dust out.

If that doesn't fix it, go get another one at the comp store. They cost $10.

All letters or just uiopjkl;m./ keys?

If it's those keys, turn off the NumLk.

If it's all keys, I'd reckon on your keyboard being dead. Replacement shouldnt cost very much... less than trying to find what is broken in the electronics or fragile circuitry.

Buy a new keyboard...

Or try restarting your computer.

Or try changing your settings in control panel for what type of keyboard you have, you may have set it wrong.
