I'm would like to go on a trip soon. I'll be going with a couple of friends and we haven't decided where yet. What would you suggest? I would like some place that has a lot of stuff to see and do and isn't overly expensive.

Washington has a ton of stuff to do, and most of it is free. Hard to beat that. Just don't stay downtown -- it's an easy train ride in from the suburbs, and the hotel costs are much cheaper.

It depends on whether you'd prefer party type, outdoor, historical type activities...

san antonio is fun...i've been there a couple of times...you can go see the alamo, go to six flags fiesta texas, see world, river walk, the mercado...it all depends what kinda of stuff you're into.
